The salt in our caves is very old (approx 200 million years old). The salt comes from crystallized sea salt beds that were uplifted by mountain building into the Khewra Salt Range of northern Pakistan. The underground salt formations are protected from modern-day pollution and formed from ancient oceans, leading to the belief that Himalayan Pink Salt is the purest salt to be found from the Earth.

How often should I do Salt/Halotherapy?
A session will last 45 minutes. For mild to moderate respiratory conditions 10 to 12 sessions are recommended, depending on individual results. For best results the sessions should be 4 to 5 times per week. Since everybody responds differently to therapy, this is provided as an average upon which to gauge your personal experience. After that, one time a week for maintenance is recommended.
How does Salt/Halotherapy work?
Aside from the already rich Himalayan Salt, which is the only salt to boast the 84 elements our body consists of, a salt generator also crushes White Himalayan salt comprised of 99.8% NaCl (Sodium Chloride) into micron-sized dry aerosol particles that are inhaled. The white Himalayan Salt has a higher concentration of Sodium Chloride than the Pink Himalayan salt; this is especially beneficial for respiratory health. Both White Himalayan and Pink Himalayan salt particles have anti-inflammatory properties which open the airways and reduce or eliminate mucus from the lungs.
